While earning the Environmental Science merit badge, Scouts will get a taste of what it is like to be an environmental scientist, making observations and carrying out experiments to investigate the natural world.
Prerequisites
Scout should:
Bring a notebook and pencil.
Observe their local environment (yard, park, or neighborhood) and note:
Plants, animals, water sources, and pollution.
Bring 1 example of a recyclable item from home.
Write 1 paragraph: “Why is protecting the environment important?”
